Advent Giving Tree

Please select a tag from the trees and purchase the requested item(s) for those in need. This year’s trees hold nearly 1,000 gift tags including multiple prayer tags. Please return items by Sunday, Dec. 10.

  • Items should be wrapped with the gift tag taped to the package, unless the tag states “do not wrap."
  • Gifts can be placed under the Advent Trees.
  • Gift cards can be placed in the Gift Card box found near the trees (gift cards purchased through the SCRIP also gives back to our Christian Formation program).
  • The White tags are for much needed prayer requests.

The gifts and requested items will be given to multiple families and many different organizations:

  • Catholic Charities
  • St. Michael’s ESL students
  • The Benedict Center
  • Eras Senior Network
  • La Casa Esperanza
  • Parent’s Place
  • Life’s Connection
  • Safe Babies, Healthy Families
  • St. Rose/St. Michael-our sister parishes
  • St. Vincent De Paul-St. Leonard
  • Women’s Center Waukesha
  • Muskego High School-Warriors Closet
  • Muskego Norway Elementary & Middle Schools, Muskego Lakes and Lake Denoon
  • Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative
  • St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care.

Members of the Human Concerns Committee will be sorting and distributing these items on Sunday, December 10th after the 11 am Mass. It is very important that all items are returned to church by that day to ensure timely deliveries. Please contact Cyndi at 414-531-4017 with any questions. The Human Concerns Committee thanks the many who will help to make this parish tradition a success.

Volunteer With Hunger Task Force

Every month, the Hunger Task Force delivers nearly 9,000 stock boxes to low-income seniors in SE Wisconsin. Each box contains 16 items, including rice, cereal, juice, beef stew, pasta and vegetables.

The Human Concerns Committee is seeking volunteers to assist packing boxes on Friday, Dec. 8, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. (please arrive by 8:50). All volunteers must work the full three hours and wear closed-toe shoes.

Volunteers ages 12 years and older are welcome, but anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian the entire time.

Register online here.

For questions, contact Julie Schnittka at 262-309-8857 or email here.
