Money is a precious resource. The Finance Council helps the pastor and director of administrative services in the administration of the annual budget of the parish to carry out the parish's mission. It is governed by both civil and church laws. Its membership is constituted by these laws. It participates in establishing parish priorities by recommending how the parish's money will be spent. Comprised of the pastor, the two parish trustees, a representative of the Pastoral Council and a number of volunteer parish members appointed by the pastor, the Finance Council monitors the income and expenses of the parish. It advises on parish investments and debts, and meets with department heads annually regarding their proposed budgets.
