Finance Council

Money is a precious resource. The Finance Council helps the pastor in the administration of the goods of the parish to carry out the parish's mission.  It is governed by both civil and church laws.  Its membership is constituted by these laws. It participates in establishing parish priorities by recommending where and how the parish's money will be spent. Comprised of the pastor, the two parish trustees, a representative of the parish council and a number of volunteer parish members appointed by the pastor, the Finance Council monitors the income and expenses of the parish.  It advises on parish investments and debts. It holds annual hearings on budget requests and recommends the final budget to the Parish Council along with fundraising activities for approval.
