St. Leonard School was awarded a second grant from the Catholic Community Foundation that will go towards building our Guided Reading Library.  This one is for $11,000!!  We are thrilled and blessed for our teachers to have the resources they need to provide our students with reading materials to challenge students at their individual reading levels!  Many thanks to the Catholic Community Foundation for their generosity!

We are pleased to announce that St. Leonard School 3rd Grade Teacher, Mrs. Lawrie Pietrowiak was one of three top winners in Catholic Financial Life's "Give Back" Contest.  She was one of 134 teachers nominated nation-wide for this contest.  "Mrs. P" won based on votes and the comments shared on the voting platform.  Her win earned our school an award of $4,500!  Check out the March 19th Catholic Herald article in which she's featured, on page 3 of the Family Section.  We're proud of you, Mrs. Pietrowiak!

Dear Families Considering St. Leonard School,

On behalf of the faculty and staff, I want to thank you for your interest in St. Leonard School!  It is with great pride that I serve as principal and work collaboratively with this community to give our children the education they deserve K3-8th grade, from their first experience with school to graduation and beyond.

It is our mission to walk in the footsteps of Christ by supporting the development of the whole child: spiritually, morally, intellectually, socially, and physically.  We strive to provide leadership skills students need to succeed once they step out of our doors and go on into high school. Our faculty fulfills our mission for students by:

  • Offering a multitude of opportunities for differentiated, personalized learning experiences
  • Providing opportunities for students of different grade levels to dive into learning together, made possible by our smaller class sizes and desire for middle school students to take leadership roles and model that for younger students.
  • Creating a family-orientated environment. This has formed a school culture where students can learn to work with and support one another.
  • Letting their Catholic faith serve as the guiding light in all that we do, leading us to develop a passion for Catholic faith and identity in all of our students.  We are truly working together and believe in our school theme, “Faith Can Move Mountains.”

I am blessed to be surrounded by such a supportive staff who believe all students can achieve, and I am amazed at their dedication to their students’ education and well-being.  With additional support from parents, parish, and community at large, St. Leonard’s is truly a place we are proud to call home. St. Leonard School prides itself on building a strong community where we all know and support one another, which we truly believe directly impacts student achievement.

I invite you to come visit St. Leonard School to learn and experience more of what we have to offer.  Please call 262-679-0451 to arrange a tour or to ask any questions you might have. I am looking forward to meeting you and starting this journey together.

Cheerfully in Christ,

Lisa Ellis
