COME TRAVEL WITH ME TO THE EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS!

Have you ever thought that you could use a big spiritual shot in the arm to deepen and energize your faith? If so, I’d like to invite you to travel with me next Summer to the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis.

We are in the midst of a “Eucharistic Revival” in order to strengthen our faith in Jesus who is truly present in the Holy Eucharist: Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. This year of the Eucharistic Revival will culminate in a national event called a “Eucharistic Congress.” The U.S. bishops are expecting over 80,000 people to take part in the congress!  

What is a “Eucharistic Congress?” It is primarily an experience of prayer: a transformative encounter with Jesus Christ and His Church. The five days of the congress will consist of private and large group prayer, as well as inspirational talks from many of the best Catholic speakers in the world such as Fr. Mike Schmitz, Sr. Miriam James Heidland and the Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s very own Fr. John Burns. There will also be fun activities and lots of time to socialize and meet Catholics from around the nation.

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee is organizing a five-day Pilgrimage to this historic event, July 17-21, 2024 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The Archdiocese of Milwaukee will travel as a group by coach bus for the full schedule of events. My goal is to have at least one full coach bus of St. Leonard parishioners, if not several busloads! I invite you to come with me, not as a tourist, but as a pilgrim who is expecting to encounter Jesus Christ in profound ways!

While the event is geared toward adults, families are certainly invited to come! All minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

The deadline to register is December 1, or when the spots fill up- whichever comes first. The cost of the trip- which varies based on your choice of accommodation- includes transportation, lodging, Congress pass, and all event fees (meals are not included).
