Vine & Branches

Volunteers Needed

Do you have experience working with special needs children in a school, therapy or other volunteer role? Are you a catechist looking for a new opportunity? Are you a volunteer with a desire to help ALL of God's Children? If so, then Vine and Branches is for YOU!

St. Leonard's Vine and Branches program provides religious education/formation class activities for children and youth with diverse (learning/cognitive or physical) needs enrolled in the program. This wonderful and unique program has been in place for 35 years serving St. Leonard and surrounding parishes. The program meets Monday evenings from 6:15 p.m.-7:30 p.m. during the school year. The time requirements for volunteers is minimal and no prior experience is necessary. You do not need to be a registered member of St. Leonard Parish to volunteer.

If interested, or know someone who may be interested in volunteering - please contact the Christian Formation Office at 262-679-0880.

About: Christian Formation for Special Needs

Jesus calls us all to live in Him, to realize our full potential as members of the Christian Community. Since 1985 Vine and Branches Christian Formation Program has answered that call by providing a program of faith development and religious education to persons with cognitive, physical, and developmental disabilities.

  • Children and young adults (ages 6-22) with any type of special needs are invited to join.
  • Students from any parish are welcome.
  • Participating parishes are asked to pay a small stipend so that no individual tuition is charged.
  • We meet 17 times a year in the Youth Center Building.
