Philosophy of teaching

As a teacher I believe that every student should be given the tools that they need to succeed. As every student needs something different, my goal as a teacher is to provide an environment where they can experience success. I want my students to become independent learners and thinkers, organized, and motivated. By always having high expectations for all students, I believe all students in my class are capable of achieving academic excellence. In our classroom, we are a community of learners that work hard and support each other to do their best.

I have a love for learning and I would hope that my students would foster a love for learning as well. My goal is to create a classroom environment where all students feel welcomed, accepted, and can reach their highest potential. In addition, I believe in helping to develop each child’s character as they walk through their journey with Christ.

Hobbies and interests

Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time volunteering with Girl Scouts, where I love supporting young leaders and giving back to the community. I am a proud Co-Leader for my East Troy Troop and a Co-Director for our local Woodland Trails Service Unit Summer day camp. I also have a passion for gardening and find a lot of joy in growing and caring for plants. Music is another favorite interest of mine as it helps me after a busy day or to find inspiration.
