Philosophy of teaching
It is my belief that, in an educational system where core subjects are becoming more popular and the arts are losing their value, I continue to push for preservation of these dying arenas by instilling my love of music upon the younger generation. The Arts are multi-curricular and use an expansive brain landscape. I use many methods to communicate music to the students by teaching varied lessons across all curriculums, while fostering an association for students between their general lives and the church mission of cultivating religious concepts and Catholic Christian values. Student engagement is a reflection on my skill as an educator. Finally, it is important to stay immersed in the craft to become a better teacher and advocate. Therefore, I am continuing my learning through World Music Drumming and participation in the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Chorus. I am also involved and dedicated to many different educator organizations to call upon others for experience and philosophies.
