Philosophy of teaching
I believe all students have the ability to learn and grow in a nurturing, loving and safe environment. I see my job as a teacher to create that environment and act as a guide and role model to help each child discover how they learn best and to create lifelong learners. I am a big believer in fostering a community in my classroom where all students feel included and respected. I also feel a classroom should be a fun place where students feel engaged in real-word, hands-on activities as much as possible. I am excited to partner with parents in their child's education to become who God has intended them to be.
Hobbies and interests
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors with my family, boating, fishing, walking and gardening. I love reading in my favorite green chair each day. My husband Chris and I love going out to dinner and trying to recreate dishes we enjoy at home.
About
I grew up in Pewaukee. My husband and I attend Holy Apostles parish in New Berlin. We are a blended family with four adult children and three grandchildren.
