Philosophy of teaching
Education is a team effort, both inside and outside the classroom. We all have a common goal: To create happy, productive members of society and our church community. I strive to make connections between home and school life so that my students stay interested and engaged in their learning. Also, reading is a passion of mine and connects directly to everything we do in school. Therefore, students will continue to build their reading skills throughout their time in my classroom. I try to make learning interesting, but also enjoyable. One of the most important qualities to have in a classroom is a positive attitude. I try to project that every single day for my students so that they, in turn, feel safe, comfortable, and successful.
Hobbies and interests
While not at school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, daughter, and son. We enjoy being outdoors, especially. One of my favorite activities is cooking. I love trying new foods that I never had before and seeing how I can fit them into recipes. I try to read as much as possible so if you have any good book recommendations, send them my way!
