Philosophy of teaching
I started my career path in childcare through the AfterCare program here at St. Leonard School, and have since moved to the role of K3 Classroom Aide. I am currently working towards a degree that covers ages birth to third and plan to continue to work in the kindergarten age range. I am very grateful that I have the opportunity to work with the wonderful K3 grade while I am pursuing my degree.
In my position as a classroom aide, I assist, support, and learn from Mrs. Johnson in the K3 classroom. This wonderful opportunity is granting me much insight and experience while I continue my schooling.
My family has been part of this school and parish since 2021. My mother works in the office here and granted me the wonderful opportunity to join the St. Leonard’s team. Although I have not been here long, I feel as though the St. Leonard community is family.
What I truly appreciate most about St. Leonard, is the bright, positive, and welcoming sense of community. From my very first day here, I have felt supported and accepted. I feel that working at this school has brought me closer to my faith and strengthened my sense of community.
