Through the past 26 years, Lisa has evolved from working with a single Christian Formation program to being the Director of Children's Ministry. Lisa works with nursery-aged children through grade six for faith formation and sacramental preparation. "I love to offer family-focused events to help facilitate family discussions and learning about faith together."
"I enjoy being part of a child's early development. I am privileged to partner with parents during this critical stage of life for their families. Working with the youngest members of our formation programs gives me the opportunity to provide families with resources for all ages in the household. One of my favorite times of year is the week of Vacation Bible School - a wonderful time of sharing in a fun and interactive fashion!"
Lisa is originally from Baldwin Park, California, but moved to the Franksville area of Wisconsin as a young child. She was raised Lutheran, but became Catholic after she married Ray in 1990. They moved to Muskego in 1992. "Between us, we have four grown children and two grandchildren."
Lisa's original educational background is in insurance as she sold personal lines and commercial insurance for a number of years. She has achieved her Advanced Religious Education Certification through the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and is pursuing a certificate in Foundations for Leadership in Ministry through Dayton University. She attends as many workshops, studies and educational offerings as her schedule allows and has even led a few at St. Leonard over the years. "Faith Formation is a lifelong endeavor!"
Lisa loves to read, crochet, knit and sew. "I also dabble in other crafting and even writing. I'm an avid YouTube video watcher to learn new skills, too! I enjoy long summer weekends in the north woods and treasure the change of seasons Wisconsin offers."
