|Southside Meal Program|
This site is a St. Vincent de Paul meal site, located near 9th and Madison, which is one block north of Greenfield Avenue. On the second Tuesday of each month, parishioners from both St. Leonard and Bethel Lutheran, donate beef stew, Jello-O, cheese, and cake to serve 400+ people. Fruit and stew meat is paid for from funds from St. Leonard and Bethel Lutheran. Prepared food is dropped off at St. Leonard between 4:00pm-4:30pm, it is then taken to the meal site by the volunteer servers for the day. Our group does not have to help with clean-up and they usually return to St. Leonard no later than 7:00pm.
In addition to the meal program, Entertainment Nights are also planned about 4-6 times a year. The Human Concerns Committee is the sponsor of these programs.
During the month of November a Coat Drive is held at St. Leonard with the meal program site as the recipient of the coats collected.
