1st Eucharist

Altar Assistant (Girls or Boys)

Children who have finished 5th grade are eligible to become altar assistants. Servers are usually scheduled approximately one Sunday every six weeks.

Art and Environment

Parishioners help design and prepare our worship space for the various liturgical seasons. Others are needed for their ideas and suggestions concerning the decorating of the church. This is a commitment that doesn't need to be year round.

Cantors lead the congregation in singing during Mass. Please contact the Director of Liturgy if interested.

Choirs - Adult Mixed Chorus / Guitar Choir / Teen Choir

There are a variety of ways in which to share your musical talents. The Guitar Choir is looking not only for guitar players but also for vocalists and flute, percussion, etc., instrumentalists ages 15 years and up. The Teen Choir sings about once a month and is open to all teens 13 years old and up.

Eucharistic Minister

Parishioners ages 18 and over who have received the sacrament of Holy Eucharist are eligible to become Eucharistic Ministers. This ministry is not a scheduled assignment. Volunteers serve at the Mass they are attending.

Helper: Liturgy of the Word for Children - Advent / Lent 9:00am Mass

Liturgical leaders and helpers are needed to assist with the Liturgy of the Word for Children, held during the readings and homily time of the Sunday 9:00am Mass, for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Materials are provided.

Volunteers with above average ability provide accompaniment and enhancement to liturgies, sometimes in conjunction with our choirs. Musicians are needed for special feast days such as Christmas, Christ the King Sunday, Palm Sunday, etc.

Lector

Lectors proclaim the readings for all Sunday liturgies, holy days of obligation, and other special services. The number of lectors on the roster determines frequency of assigned Masses. With a listing of 25 members, lectors are assigned approximately once every six weeks. Parish members who have received the sacrament of Confirmation are eligible to lector.

Ministers of Hospitality (Ushering)

Volunteers for this committee are involved in performing the ushers' duties at all Masses and also sponsor the Pancake Breakfast. Various causes throughout the year are also supported as the need arises.

This group meets 8 to 10 times a year to prepare our worship and to discuss liturgical concerns.
