Building & Grounds Committee

This committee is involved in reviewing bids and contracts for the various services in the maintenance of and improvements to St. Leonard facilities. The primary goal of the committee is to ensure a smooth running facility while operating within the budget.

Finance Committee

Comprised of the two parish trustees, a representative of the parish council and a number of volunteer parish members, Finance is the "nuts and bolts" committee. It holds annual hearings on budget requests and recommends the final budget to the parish council along with fundraising activities for approval. There are monthly meetings.

Home & School Association

The mission of the Home & School Association is to involve school families in the development and enrichment of St. Leonard School through various social and fundraising efforts. Fundraising activities provide extras to the school that cannot be covered by budgeted expenses; social events promote the well-being of the Catholic community.

The Parish Council is the primary policy formulating body of the church and is responsible for guiding the parish, determining the direction of the parish, representing its needs, and overseeing all of the activities and programs offered by St. Leonard Congregation.

Personnel Committee

Personnel Committee serves as liaison between the parish employees and Finance/Parish Council. Their responsibilities include: becoming familiar with the policies and procedures governing employees; job descriptions; and analysis of remuneration and fringe benefits.

St. Leonard Parish Planning Committee consists of the Pastor and parishioners, representing all aspects of parish life. The task of the committee is to assist the various parish groups and committees in developing a long-range, strategic plan to meet the spiritual, as well as physical space needs of our rapidly growing parish.

Religious Education Board

"The purpose of catechesis (religious information) is to make a person's faith becoming living, conscious and active through the light of instruction...Catechesis is a lifelong process for the individual and a constant and concerted activity of the Christian Community." The Religious Education Board seeks to carry out its above stated purpose through program design and instruction, support of the work of the directors, and fundraising.

The purpose of the school board is to assist and guide the administration, staff, parents and children in the formulation of educational policy in accordance with the principles of our Catholic Faith and the policies of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Members are elected to a three-year term.
