Money is a precious resource. The Finance Committee helps the pastor in the administration of the temporal goods of the parish. It is governed by both civil and church laws. It's membership is constituted by these laws. It participates in establishing parish priorities by recommending where and how the parish's money will be spent.
Comprised of the pastor, two parish trustees, a representative of the parish council and a number of volunteer parish members, the Finance Committee is the "budget and fundraising" committee It monitors the income and expenses of the parish. It advises on parish investments and debts. It holds annual hearings on budget requests and recommends the final budget to the parish council along with fundraising activities for approval. There are monthly meetings.
